All Aboard, the Music and Math Connection is a unique curriculum designed to help children ages 3-6 use the power of music to discover the fun of math! All Aboard uses music and multi-modal learning to climb the pyramid of Bloom's Taxonomy of Cognitive Development from bottom to top leading the children to evaluate and create as their imagination is stimulated. Purposefully designed activities and strategic questioning help engage their higher-level thinking skills while they are having gun. The spiral nature of the program lends itself to multiple opportunities to encounter opportunities.
Your Instructor
Erin Hines, is the co-creator of All Aboard, the Music and Math Connection. Her degree in Early Childhood Education from The University of Oklahoma and seven year testing of the curriculum provides the pedagogical foundation for All Aboard. Her extensive experience as an early childhood educator gives the program a unique advantage, as techniques are honed with the typical, age-appropriate children in a classroom setting.
Dr. Faulconer retired as Rothbaum Professor of Music Theory and Composition and Chair of the Department of Music Technology at The University of Oklahoma in 2004. He has committed the remainder of his career to helping teachers harness the comprehensive nature of music to illuminate concepts in other subjects.
